The Regional Environmental Programme for Sustainable Development in Central Asia (REP4SD-CA) recognizes climate change as one of the most significant challenges to sustainable development in the region. Amid increasing climate risks such as droughts, desertification, and extreme weather events the development of adaptation measures, the reduction of vulnerability of natural and social systems, and the integration of climate considerations into sectoral and cross-sectoral strategies have become critically important.
This section of the database brings together key strategies, best practices, and project outcomes aligned with Priority Area 4 of the REP4SD-CA, aimed at supporting urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. The materials presented serve as a knowledge base for advancing Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG 13) on “Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts” across Central Asian countries.
