The Scientific Information Center of ICSD

The Scientific-Information Center of the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development (SIC ICSD) was founded on September 9, 1995, by the ICSD Decision, and is a regional organization with international status, operating through its Headquarters in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, and branches/offices of SIC in Central Asian countries.

SIC ICSD serves as the working body of ICSD, with its main task being to provide scientific, informational, methodological, and advisory support to ICSD's activities in the field of environmental protection and sustainable natural resource management in the Central Asian region.

SIC ICSD carries out its activities in collaboration with national and international development partners and cooperates with national ministries and agencies, organizing scientific and informational exchanges at the national level.
