About the Database of Good Environmental Practices
The Scientific Information Center of the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development (SIC ICSD) serves as a regional knowledge platform, systematically collecting and curating best practices, case studies, and innovative approaches from across Central Asia. This database is structured around the thematic areas of the Regional Environmental Programme for Sustainable Development in Central Asia (REP4SD) and is designed to support the achievement of relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on land restoration, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management. By facilitating knowledge exchange and regional cooperation, the database aims to empower stakeholders at all levels to adopt evidence-based, scalable solutions for a more sustainable and environmentally secure future.
