The Strategy under development aims to enhance public awareness of the socio-economic and environmental benefits of transitioning to renewable energy sources and adopting energy-efficient practices. It is designed as a long-term guiding document that promotes inclusive engagement from all sectors - government institutions, the private sector, academia, and the general public. Key implementation mechanisms will include awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, public outreach, partnerships with businesses, and practical projects. The final version will include a concrete roadmap detailing the phases and mechanisms for implementation.
Furthermore, the Strategy reflects Turkmenistan’s international commitments in the areas of climate action and sustainable development. It is aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals, the Global Methane Pledge, and other global frameworks.
