Regional Environmental Action Plan Focal Points (REAP FPs)
The Regional Environmental Action Plan Focal Points (REAP FPs) of the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development (ICSD) is a regional coordinating body established by the ICSD decision “On the Preparation of the Regional Environmental Action Plan (REAP)” of 22 June 2000. Its mandate is to ensure the coordinated development and implementation of environmental policy across the countries of Central Asia. The activities of the REAP FPs are aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, as well as ensuring effective coordination of processes related to the implementation of the Regional Environmental Action Plan (REAP).

Key Functions of the REAP FPs
- Coordination of the preparation and implementation of the REAP;
- Ensuring alignment between national and regional environmental programmes;
- Coordination of the development and implementation of regional projects and initiatives;
- Facilitation of information exchange among Central Asian countries on REAP implementation;
- Promotion of cooperation mechanisms among government institutions, the scientific community and international partners.
REAP FPs Meetings
REAP FPs meetings are held on a regular basis, typically at least once per quarter, as well as on an ad hoc basis in accordance with ICSD decisions.
